OSLO TRAM

Thermal comfort and design: New lighting for Oslo's trams

Oslo, Norway (2023 – 2025)

Oslo’s transport system has renewed its fleet with the new SL18 trams, designed to offer maximum accessibility and efficiency in the Arctic climate. AM Lighting played a key role in defining the interior visual identity of these vehicles.

For this lighting project in the Norwegian capital, unlike other European projects, a color temperature of 3000K has been chosen, seeking a warmer and more comfortable environment for passengers in Nordic climates.

The following have been supplied for this exciting project:

  • “Oslo” Hall Lighting Fixtures: 24V units adapted to different sections of the tram.
  • Cabin and Accent: Cabin luminaires.
  • Adjustable spotlights, providing high-precision focused lighting.
