The Montpellier-Mediterranean metropolis has launched an ambitious plan to renew its transport network with the acquisition of the new Urbos 100 trams. This project aims to replace the oldest units on Line 1 and strengthen service on Line 4, standing out for its cutting-edge design and a strong commitment to energy efficiency.
AM Lighting participates as a key supplier, providing these vehicles with a state-of-the-art LED lighting infrastructure that combines sustainability and thermal comfort.
Project context: The new trams for Montpellier are designed to offer full accessibility and harmonious integration with the French cityscape. The use of AM Lighting’s LED technology reduces the trams’ electricity consumption, aligning with the city’s carbon neutrality goals, while providing clear and safe lighting for the thousands of daily users of the system.
Technical details of the supply: For this project, AM Lighting has designed customized 24V solutions with a color temperature of 4000K, distributed in the following units:
