Linear LED system for step illumination and signalling.

At AM Lighting, we develop linear LED lighting systems specifically designed to illuminate and signal the edge of steps in vehicles and technical applications where safety is a priority.

It is not just about illumination. It is about highlighting hazardous step edges and reducing the risk of trips in low-visibility conditions. Each project defines dimensions, voltage, and configuration. Our engineering adapts the system specifically to each platform.

Ledline is designed for:

  • To illuminate the step area.
  • To highlight the hazardous edge.
  • To improve visibility in darkness or low-light conditions
  • To reduce the risk of tripping when stepping up or down.

In complete darkness, in addition to highlighting the edge, it illuminates the immediate surroundings, revealing nearby structures. It is an active safety element in transit areas.

Technical skills

Designed for transport and demanding environments.

In current developments, we work with:

  • Input voltage range: 9–30 V DC.
  • Very low power consumption: <1.5 W per meter.
  • IP68 fully sealed protection.
  • Service life exceeding 60,000 hours.
  • Temperature range: -20°C to +70°C
  • Vibration testing in accordance with IEC 571.
  • Compliance with European Directive 95/54/EC
  • Protection against:
  • Short circuit
    Reverse polarity
    Open circuit

Available for 12V, 24V, and 72V systems, among others. As with all our developments, voltage does not define the product: it is adapted to the specific project.

Mechanical design and configuration

Modular profile adaptable to each platform. The system is composed of:

There is no closed standard product. There is technical configuration based on requirements.

Efficiency and durability

Minimal consumption, maximum durability.

Power consumption below 1.5 W/m allows integration into battery-powered systems without compromising autonomy.

The LEDs feature:

A significantly longer service life than traditional light sources.

Resistance to vibrations.

Long-term light stability.

The combination of anodised profile and epoxy sealing ensures resistance in humid or outdoor environments.
